Welcome aboard our Spring Newsletter.
Springtime
is just around the corner. For those
of us in the northern half of the
United States it means warmer
weather and getting outside in the
much needed sunshine. For those who
live close to the water it means
enjoyable days are coming soon: time
to get that boat cleaned up and
ready for the warm season. Our
header picture above features our
very nautical Dockside Melamine
dinnerware. See the image below
for more info. PLUS, we have two NEW
items; Our etched bar glassware and
our nautical awards plaque. See them
below.
March Historical facts:
March 5, 1770 - What became known as
the Boston Massacre occurred as a
group of rowdy Americans harassed a
patrol of British soldiers who
opened fire, killing five of them.
The first man killed was one Crispus
Attucks, and African American
sailor. This triggered the colonial
revolt that grew into the
Revolutionary War and led to the
establishment of the United States.
March 12, 1690 - The island of
Bermuda was colonized by the British
after a ship was wrecked on its
reefs while sailing on Virginia.
With the ship destroyed, the people
stayed and decided to form a British
colony.
March 17th - Goodness know we cannot
exclude the celebration of Saint
Patrick's Day who was the patron
saint of Ireland. Like so many other
ethnic groups the Irish have brought
us a history and legacy that endures
to this day.
Just remember, always be careful so
that you and your family remain safe to enjoy the
Spring with friends and family. The present pandemic
is NOT over yet. Keep safe distance from strangers or
those who don't live with you and
for goodness sake follow the
suggestions of our medical
professionals. Pray for the
people in the Ukraine.
Fair winds and
following seas.
