Solid Brass Cabin Lantern Table Lamp

Another Robin's Dockside Shop creation Our high quality brass Cabin Lantern made into a very handsome and nostalgic table lamp made in our own shop outside of Baltimore Maryland. .

The lantern is styled after those used aboard late 19th Century era passenger sailing and steam ships.
We decided to make this excellent lantern into a versatile table lamp that would be very suitable as a bedside or foyer lamp.

The lamp has an old fashioned twist. The socket switch controls both the lower Cabin Lantern and the upper light socket.

The lantern is solid brass high quality and factory lacquer coated. The base is solid warm Red Oak cut and fashioned by an experienced lady near our shop in PA. The electrical parts are UL approved and made in the USA. The amber light bulb is factory installed.

Imagine quiet warm nights aboard a large sailing vessel on the passage from Liverpool to New York with this calming bedside lamp. The only sound is the waves gently slapping the hull of the ship and the occasional rustle of the wind in the giant canvas sails with the stars overhead like a blanket.

Such nostalgia is not easily available in our modern world and that is what this table lamp offers. An excellent addition to your home or nautical décor.
