  Robin's Dockside Shop is an on-line store ONLY, however we do deliver to local customers on occasion to save shipping costs and time.

Our line of nautical brass items are the finest we can procure.   Most of our nautical brass items are hand machined and made in India or Taiwan by skilled craftsmen.   The linens and throw pillows are hand made by a couple of local seamstress in the United States.  The quilts are hand quilted and come from China.  (But we would really like to see these things made in the USA and sold in the USA)
 

 
Robin's Dockside Shop has been in business as an on-line store for 14 years serving the nautical community world-wide.  We also get out of doors several times a year during the warmer months on the East Coast. We do several pirate festivals from New York to Hampton, Virginia. If you happen to be in these areas we would enjoy seeing you in person at our tent.

Events like this allow us to display and sell our fine line of nautical items and allow people to visit us in person and examine our nautical items.

We have carefully scrutinized and selected only the best of these items from our suppliers to make available to our customers.   Most of the items on this web site are things that we own ourselves in our homes and have had aboard our boat.
 

All of our brass and copper items are of solid brass and copper.   There are no cheap tinplate junk in our inventory that tarnish easily and cannot be re-polished.   We use a polishing compound by the name of "Mother's Metal Polish" TM that polishes the brass and copper to a high luster and leaves a coating that prevents tarnish for several months. 

 

We take great pride in each piece that we have on our shelves and we do our utmost to provide our customers with the highest level of service that we can.  We treat each customer as we would like to be treated ourselves.

  Shipping:
 

All of our items are shipped in double boxes.  The item is packaged in either a white or craft box that is suitable for wrapping for gift giving.  That box then is packed in a shipping box and packaged carefully against breakage.   Should an item arrive broken, please contact Robin's Dockside Shop at once.  We ship most packages UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail and the contents are insured for the value of each item. PLEASE allow at least 7 - 10 business days for delivery of all items.  However, if we have your item in stock it will ship the next day after your order is placed.

 

When we ship an item an e-mail is generated informing the customer of the date of shipment, the date of expected delivery and the tracking number.   Therefore, you always know where your shipment is and when it is due to arrive at your door.  Again, PLEASE allow at least 7 - 10 business days for delivery but it may be faster than this if possible.

  Free Shipping:   We offer Free Shipping on all orders over $150.00 within the United States ONLY. Overseas customers can expect a call or E-Mail from us regarding extra shipping charges.  If the Shopping Cart charges you shipping when you should not have been charged, or some other error occurs, you will be refunded that shipping charge back to your credit/bank card.  If you have any questions regarding this process, please call or send us an e-mail. 

  Returns:


Defective or unwanted items may be returned to Robin's Dockside Shop within 10 days of receiving the item.(s). There will ne no exceptions.

Robin's Dockside Ship warrants each item to perform as expected and to have the appearance and luster that it appears to have on our site or in our store.   If you are not happy with the item, please contact us for an RMA number or just verbal consent for return. However, there is a 20% Restocking Fee on ALL returned items, unless damaged.  Shipping costs are NOT refunded.
 

Damaged items: Occasionally items are damaged in shipment.  If you receive a damaged item it is the responsibility of the customer to call the US Postal Service and report the damage and start a claim for reimbursement.  You should also inform Robin's Dockside Shop of the problem as we can facilitate the claim.

 

DO NOT simply return an item to Robin's Dockside Shop. The US Postal Service or UPS will need to pick up the damaged items from the customer and NOT Robin's Dockside Shop.

 

Special Orders: Items that are special ordered or items that have been altered per customer request cannot be returned unless damaged. This includes items that have been lacquer coated and oil lamps that are converted to electric light.  These processes alter the item with a non-removable hard coating or have been drilled to install electric light kits.  Items that have been special ordered cannot be returned unless some verbal agreement has been reached prior to placing the order.
 

Robin's Dockside Shop is primarily concerned with customer satisfaction.  If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it to us for a refund, minus a 20% restocking Fee plus the shipping cost (if any)  Due to the shipping times and distances, some allowances have been made concerning returns.  Therefore, you have 10 days from the date you received the item to return it to us for a full refund.   Refunds are credited back to your credit / bank card or sent to you in the form of a cashier's check 20 days after the returned item has been received and inspected.  Please allow 10 days from the date of the return for that check to be mailed out to you.

 

Please Note: All customer Charge backs will be heavily disputed with credit card company or bank.

Robin's Dockside Shop does not make nor manufacture any of the items that we sell in our store.  Therefore, we are to be held harmless of any liability due to any damage or injury caused by any of the items that we sell.  Also, un-coated brass items should NEVER be used to drink out of or to place food in.  Brass table items are for DECORATION ONLY and NOT as food or beverage utensils unless coated with a stable lacquer or poly coating.

Please note. We sincerely respect your privacy. All customer information is kept in-house and will NOT be sold or given to any other company or organization.  We use customer information solely for reference and for our own mailings and e-mail. You also may un-subscribe from the mailing list at anytime by simply writing us a note and requesting that your name be removed from our Newsletter List. We respect your right to privacy as much as we do our own.

When you visit our website there are NO "cookie" generating or tracking programs employed on our site. There is a utility on our server that logs data from your browser and IP address and the date and time but that is all. However, we do NOT share this information with anyone either commercially or personally.

 

Security Policy:

Please note: When a customer makes a payment either directly on our website or calls in to place an order over the phone, that information is also very safe. We do not collect and save a customer's credit card information. Once a transaction has been made the credit card info is lost to us and is only used by our credit card and banking system. We do not keep such data in our files or on our computers or in our office.

Our Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software is provided to us by a company named Anuthorize.net. This is an industry standard and amongst the best software available today for credit card transactions.  It encrypts all of a customer's information and uses it only between financial institutions. We are NOT privy to the data that Authorize.net collects and we DON"T WANT IT.
