Shop creation. Our Solid Copper Look-Out Lantern made into a
handsome table lamp on a solid Mahogany base. Fully electric
with an old fashioned twist.
The three position socket
allows the Look-Out Lamp to be turned on alone or just the
top main bulb to be turned on or both can be on at the same
time. A very versatile table lamp not available anywhere
else. Hand made in the U.S.A. by our own craftsmen.
The solid Copper Look-Out
Lantern is styled after lanterns used on sailing ships for hundreds of years.
Hand machined in
heavy-gauge copper with brass trim. The Fresnel style lens
is made to magnify the oil lamp light to be visible
for 20 nautical miles.
The Look-Out lantern is
sometimes called a Masthead Lamp named
for it's use. Sometimes used like a flashlight, sometimes used as a 2nd anchor lamp on the
2nd mast or as a stern lamp attached to the
back of a ship. The flat back allows it to be wall mounted.
A great lamp for boat, yacht, den or nautical living room. A
great nightlight or TV light with only the bottom lantern
lighted.
Approx. 26" tall with the larger shade.
Base is 8" wide x 9" long.
