Solid Brass Cargo Lantern - 10"

The classic cargo lantern in solid brass with brass trim. This is the grandfather of all cargo lanterns in size and composition. Constructed of heavy gauge solid brass with glass sides and heavy brass trim. Very high quality construction.

Has classic top and bottom bail for hanging stability.

Lanterns such as these both in brass as well as copper were used extensively aboard sailing vessels from the late 1700's until well into the 19th Century. Some can even be found aboard sailing ships to this day. When all else fails these oil lanterns will light areas below decks very brightly.

This lantern will always be a hit on a patio or deck or aboard your own boat or yacht. A romantic table light casting a nostalgic glow in any setting at home or aboard ship or boat.
