Solid Brass Trawler Lamp
The classic
brass hanging Trawler Lamp. This oil burning
lamp is styled after oil lamps used on fishing trawlers and
other boats for decades. The shape allows fishermen to look
at their nets and over the side to see what they have caught
while shielding their eyes from the light of the lamp.
Today's professional fishermen use very bright electric
floodlights on the big fishing trawlers. However, lamps like
ours are still used as a nostalgic decorative lamp on most
pleasure boats but you might just find one hanging from the
bulkhead on many commercial trawlers on the water.
Solid brass with glass globe included. Can be safely used as
an oil lamp but it can be wired for 110v with a vertical
light and socket which we strongly suggest.
